Online auctions can be tricky if you haven't come across them before. Especially when you are dealing with surplus stock. So here is a quick guide to bidding and buying with V Win Me.
All surplus lots are listed on our site as either "Buy it now" or Auction. All bids need to be placed via this website.
You can view any lots prior to bidding if you wish. We have lots available to be viewed at our premises in Staffordshire, please contact us to arrange
These run for a set amount of time. During that time you may place a bid of any amount that you wish, your bid will not be made public. At the end of the auction the person who made the highest bid wins.
The normal type of auction, whereby you may bid any amount of the current highest bid. You can input the highest bid you are willing to make, we then bid on your behalf up until that amount is reached. If you are eventually out bid you may then choose whether or not to place a new maximum bid.
These auctions don't have a set end time, they are similar to a classified ad. You may make us an offer for a lot, and we will consider whether or not to accept. Best offer listings might be available for months, or they could be snapped up in hours!
A listing with a fixed price. These listings are set at a given price, and that is the price you pay. If you choose to "buy it now" the listing ends right away and you are the winner.
The price you bid is the final price. There are no hidden costs such as a buyers premium (many sites will add on 5-10% at the end of the auction, so beware). There are extra services though that we can provide if you wish.
If you wish to collect a lot yourself there is no charge. We can however arrange delivery for you at an extra cost.
We can assist in arranging an export licence if you wish to have the lot delivered to another country.
As standard lots are "boxed up" depending on size and quantity in order to ease loading into a van or trailor. If however, you would like your lot loading onto a pallet in order to be loaded onto a lorry, we can arrange that for you.
All bids exclude VAT. All bidders should verify whether they will need to pay VAT before bidding. In general though the following customers may be exempt:
Exporters who are having the lot delivered outside of the UK
End users who are buying parts to fit direct to a craft (you will need an end user declaration to verify this)
